ALLiance Event: A Conversation about Race and Art

In partnership with the Grinnell College Museum of Art and with support from the Racial Equity Grant Fund, the Grinnell ALLiance hosted "A Conversation about Race and Art" at the museum on April 11. The event was facilitated by Tilly Woodward, Curator of Academic and Community Outreach, where Tilly used works from Grinnell College Museum of Art's collection as a focus for the discussion. Participants were guided from observation and description to interpretation and meaning making, and asked to engage with how the artworks provides a lens for understanding themselves and others and considering, "how is this my story?"
